To vote in Toronto’s municipal election, you must be:
- a Canadian citizen
- at least 18 years old
- a resident of the City of Toronto; or
- a non-resident of Toronto, but you or your spouse own or rent property in Toronto
- not prohibited from voting under any law
You may vote only once in Toronto’s municipal election, regardless of how many properties you own or rent. Vote in the ward where you live.
Check your voter information
Use Ontario’s Voter Registration service to check, update, add, or remove your information from the voters’ list. You may need to upload identification and/or property documentation.
